Innovating Science - Genetics of Blood Types Kit

Innovating Science kit is used to demonstrate how genetics determine blood type, and develop understanding of inheritance patterns. The kit features an activity to determine the blood type of four unknown samples, and use the results to assist in the resolution of a fictional paternity dispute. The blood samples are simulated for realistic replication of the blood typing procedure, and for safe classroom use. For hands-on learning, the kit has materials for 10 groups of students, including blood samples, simulated anti-A and anti-B serums, and blood typing trays. The kit has a teacher's manual and student study guide copymasters for instructional use, and a safety data sheet (SDS) packet for product information and handling procedures. The kit is suitable for age 13 and older with adult supervision, and meets the requirements for Department of Transportation (DOT) small quantity exemption 173.4, and conforms to 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 173.4 for domestic highway or rail transport only.
