This heavy duty, metal inertia demonstration model is perfect for years of student abuse and classroom use. Its base is 6.5"x6.5" and it is mounted on stable rubber feet with adjustable height allowing the platform to be set from 3/4" to 1" high. The unit includes a .75" diameter metal ball that is placed on a metal sheet and set upon a 6" tall post. The 'trigger' then slides the sheet out from under the ball, dropping it into the receptacle upon the top of the post. This is a perfect demonstration of Newton's first law. This is a perfect teaching tool for courses from middle school and right up to basic college courses.
