Description
  • RESISTANCE || Standard four decade resistance box used to calculate resistance - Accommodates most student experiments
  • RANGE || Ranges from 0 - 11,110 Ohms in increments of 1 Ohm - ±1% tolerance - Maximum power output of 2W - Lowest Amperage: 20mA - Highest Amperage: 700mA
  • EASY TO USE || Resistances are easily selected by the turn of a dial
  • NOT INCLUDED || At least 2 banana plug cords, alligator clips, a power supply, and at least 1 multi-meter are required for use but are not included
  • SAFE HANDLING || It is important to set the resistance high enough in order to maintain a power output that is less than 2W - Too much current could start a fire or melt part of the box - No safety fuse

This decade resistance substitution box provides 4 decade ranges as given below and total value 0 to 11110 Ohms with a resolution of 1 Ohm. Each decade is selected using rotary switch. All resistance values are of ±1% tolerance and with 0.5 watt resistors, 0.5555 watts is the theoretical maximum. At least 2 banana plug cords, alligator clips, a power supply, and at least 1 multi-meter are required for use but are not included.
It is important to set the resistance high enough in order to maintain a power output that is less than 2W.Too much current could start a fire or melt part of the box.
No safety fuse.
Suggested experiments include Ohm's Law: Finding the Relationship Between Current and Voltage (Constant Resistance), Ohm's Law: Finding the Relationship Between Current and Resistance (Constant Voltage) and The Wheatstone Bridge: Determining the Resistance of an Unknown Resistor.
