• SELECTIVE GROWTH MEDIUM || 24 x 200ml bottles of prepared growth medium. Used to grow, maintain and study gram-negative bacteria in petri dishes or culture tube slants.
• DIFFERENTIATING GROWTH MEDIUM || MacConkey agar can differentiate lactose-fermenting bacteria from non-fermenting bacteria.
• EASY TO PREPARE || Simply heat bottle until all of the medium is liquified. Pour into petri dishes or culture tubes, then allow medium to cool and harden.
• EXCELLENT FOR LABORATORIES AND CLASSROOMS || Ideal for use in general biology and microbiology laboratories and classrooms. This medium will only allow gram-negative bacteria to grow. Lactose fermenting bacteria will form pink colored colonies while non-lactose fermenting bacteria will grow colorless colonies.
