The kit has activities for creating an endothermic reaction to monitor the change in temperature as the reaction occurs, and examining a commercial application, the instant cold pack, for further examination. For hands-on learning, the kit has materials for 15 groups of students, including sodium bicarbonate, plastic cups, stirring sticks, and bags of ammonium nitrate with vermiculite. The kit has a teacher's manual and student study guide copymasters for instructional use, and a safety data sheet (SDS) packet for product information and handling procedures. The kit is suitable for age 13 and older with adult supervision, and meets the requirements for Department of Transportation (DOT) small quantity exemption 173.4, and conforms to 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 173.4 for domestic highway or rail transport only.What's in the Box?
